In VideoScribe for Browser, there are many ways to spruce up your animations. Scenes are great to help you organize your project into sections if you are creating a longer video. Adding transitions between scenes can help to make your video more engaging and fun.
In this blog, we will explore how to add scenes to your projects, and how to use transitions to make your scenes flow into one another in style!

Scenes
Scenes allow you to break up your video into sections to better tell your story. Scenes can help you lay out your project to make a more complex video while keeping things organized. Scenes are great to help structure your video into distinct sections and focus on specific topics or key points. Your project will play your video based on the order of your scenes.
Adding scenes
The buttons at the bottom of the left-hand panel allow you to 'Add scene', 'Duplicate scene', and 'Delete scene'. You can have up to 25 scenes in a project. Don't forget to add transitions between scenes to keep your audience engaged and interested!
Take a look at our ‘Lesson Overview’ video template. In this template, we use Scenes to break down the content into digestible, visually distinct sections. We can maintain the cohesive storyline - in the example, an overview of what’s to come in today’s lesson - while seamlessly guiding the audience through the message.
Transitions
You can transition from one scene to another by applying an entrance transition to the beginning of the incoming scene.
Transition Styles
There are 5 different ways to transition between scenes. You can find all of these techniques under scene settings on your right-hand toolbar where you can adjust the timings of the transitions to make sure you get them just right!
Bounce - Make your element bounce into the scene from any direction.
Fade - Gracefully fade out or onto the screen.
Slide in - Slide into your next scene in any direction.
Erase - Select any one of our drawing hands to erase the elements from your previous scene before moving on to the next. You can learn more about our drawing hands here.
Drag - Have your elements drag into the next scene by any of our drawing hands.
You can learn more about our transition styles and see them all in action in our dedicated blog here.
Using Transitions
Our ‘Animated Text’ template uses scene transitions and entrance animations to enhance messages. Transitions can help to draw attention to certain parts of your video or maintain interest in your video in between scenes of text.
