## The Ultimate April 2023 Social Media Content Calendar
### May 1st, 2023 - May Day
Depending on where you are in the world, you might be celebrating May 1st differently. To our readers in the UK, it’s May Day. But to our US readers, we’re looking at Labor Day. Regardless of where you are, this is the perfect excuse to push a message out on your social media channels, celebrating what May 1st means to you.
### May 4th, 2023 - Star Wars Day
“May the fourth be with you” - one of the greatest puns ever created, relating to a date and the Star Wars franchise! This is the perfect time to apply your own punny whit to your social posts. Here are a few to get the creative juices flowing:
- Yoda best
- Why did Anakin cross the road? To get to the Dark Side
- You R2 fun
- You’re the obi-wan for me
### May 5th, 2023 - Cinco de Mayo
Cinco de Mayo is a holiday celebrating the Mexican army’s victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War. Interestingly, it’s a relatively minor holiday in Mexico, but in the US, this day has turned into a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage. Think parades, parties, color, mariachi music, and all the delicious food Mexican cuisine offers us.
### May 6th, 2023 - Coronation of Charles III and Camilla
The coronation of Charles III and his wife, Camilla, and the king and queen of the United Kingdom takes place on the 6th of May at Westminster Abbey. This is a historic event that’ll no doubt be watched by millions of people around the world, from the streets of London, broadcasted via the BBC and live streams across social platforms.
### May 11th, 2023 - National Eat What You Want Day
National Eat What You Want Day is celebrated in the US, but frankly, we think this should be celebrated on a global scale! On May 11th, treat yourself to your favorite foods and break away from restrictive diets. If you work in the food and beverage industry, this is the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your latest promotional videos.
### May 12th, 2023 - International Nurses Day
The birthday of Florence Nightingale is International Nurses Day. Florence was the founder of modern nursing, among many other things, and this day gives us the perfect opportunity to give our nurses more recognition. Show your support by creating a social media video or GIF praising the work of our nurses around the world.
### May 21st, 2023 - World Baking Day
World Baking Day is the perfect time to celebrate all things baking! If you’re a manufacturer of baking supplies, an independently run bakehouse, or even an amateur baker looking to make a name for yourself - this is a day worth celebrating with a social media video!
### May 28th, 2023 - World Hunger Day
More than 800 million people are hungry, and yet a third of all food is wasted. World Hunger Day is an opportunity for us to play our part in ending world hunger for good. Show your support on social media with a video highlighting what you’ll be doing to show your support.
### May 29th, 2023 - Memorial Day
Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the US, honoring and mourning the US military personnel who’ve died while serving in the armed forces. A quick way for you to show your support is by using one of our VideoScribe templates. Jump into VideoScribe, edit the text or change up the imagery, and export to mp4 or GIF to use across your social media channels.
Access the [template here in VideoScribe](https://www.videoscribe.co/app/template-preview/ltmo0zpwz0tix8h1l8rj4sxi/), you'll be prompted to login or sign up for a free trial first.
