1st January: New Year's Day

New Year's Day, celebrated on January 1st, marks the beginning of a fresh calendar year. It is a time of reflection, resolutions, and new beginnings. Many people use the day to set goals or resolutions for personal growth. Altogether, New Year's Day symbolizes hope and the promise of a brighter future, making it a universal celebration of renewal and possibilities.

5th January: Twelfth Night

Twelfth Night marks the end of the Christmas season following 'the twelve days of Christmas' which begins on December 25th. Rooted in medieval and Christian traditions, it is a time for festive revelry and a night of misrule. Shakespeare’s famous play Twelfth Night draws inspiration from the holiday’s themes of disguise and merriment.

20th January: Blue Monday

Blue Monday typically falls on the third Monday of January and is often dubbed the "saddest day of the year." The term was originally coined as part of a marketing campaign and reflects post-holiday blues, cold weather, financial stress, and fading New Year's resolutions, which can contribute to a collective low mood. Blue Monday serves as a reminder to prioritize mental health, seek connection, and practice self-care. Use this day to spread some joy among friends or in your workplace. You could send a funny video around the office or bring in a sweet treat to share with colleagues. We have lots of fun meme imagery to assist your funny video creation.
