Videos make absorbing information a whole lot easier! They use images that we can decipher much faster than a page of text and our brains don’t have to work so hard. Since we know just how important images are to successful learning, we consistently add more graphics to the VideoScribe library covering different topics and needs.

Similarly, we’ve had an awesome response to introducing pre-made video templates to VideoScribe. For time-strapped educators, they make creating perfectly polished and animated videos easier and faster than ever. Which is why we’ve also continued to expand our range of video template designs.

In today’s blog we’re sharing a round up of all the latest additions to VideoScribe that you need to know. Everything we discuss in this blog is available in VideoScribe today. However, if you’re using an older version of VideoScribe, please download the latest version (3.5) to ensure you have access to these features. Or, if you’re new to VideoScribe sign up for a free 7 day trial to get started!

Playpage style video template

We’re kicking things off with this new playpage style video template. Designed to be used by teachers and students to present their ideas, share information or just have fun.

This is the perfect backdrop to show off your students’ creativity. They’re free to explore different animation and drawing techniques with our full library of images to choose from.

If you already have a VideoScribe subscription, simply log in to the software and click on the 'Template Scribes' button on the left-hand side to find this template and many more. If you're new to VideoScribe, start a free trial today to use this template.

Scrapbook style video template

One of the best ways to collect information for a project or reflect on an experience is with a scrapbook. While your students might be used to gluing different cut outs into a book, a video scrapbook allows you to create collages that incorporate sound to give a full picture.

In experimenting with layering effects, images and sounds students will also develop their digital skills and confidence.

The best part about all of our templates is that we’ve set the stage for you. All you and your students need to do is the fun part - making it your own! Then hit publish and it’s ready to share in presentations, on your organization’s social media accounts or with parents.

Sticky note style video template

Need to highlight the key quotes in a text? Or summarize important takeaways from a training module? If you’re nodding then this is the template for you.

This super tactile video template will help you to share snippets of information in an engaging and eye-catching way. It’s as easy as editing the text to suit your topic.

And don’t forget that while we’ve created the tools to get started, you can always take it one step further. Try adding extra sticky notes to share more information, or switching up the background for a whiteboard or block color.

Beach theme video template

With our beach theme video template, there’s no excuse for summer projects not to look incredible this year.

Regardless of whether you’ll be asking students to do their own study on marine life in their area, or just share a diary from their summer break, this template is easily adapted.

Communicate complex topics with visual metaphors

As the key to effective learning is teaching new ideas in concepts that the learner already understands, our visual metaphor graphics are the perfect teaching companion.

Each image is carefully designed to communicate more complex ideas like ‘long-term’ and ‘connectivity’ using graphics that are easily recognizable. You can find all of these images in the ‘Concepts and Metaphors’ folder in the VideoScribe library.

Around the world in 100+ landmark images

Whether you’re teaching Geography, History, Languages or even explaining how financial regulation differs across the globe, our collection of over 100 new landmark images will help you set the scene.

Find these new images in the ‘Geography’ folder in the VideoScribe library, or alternatively use the search bar to type the name of the landmark you want to find.
