Today is Stop Cyberbullying Day in the UK. This inspiring scribe tells the story of Althea, who was bullied online but fought to regain her confidence, and was made in partnership with The Cybersmile Foundation. Find out how you can get involved to #stopcyberbullyingday today. Over 40% of young people in the UK have experienced online bullying, but 90% don't tell an adult what is happening to them. Cyberbullying can lead to low self-esteem, self-harm and depression. Althea's confidence suffered when she was targeted by an online bully, but with support from her friends and The Cybersmile Foundation, she was able to block her bully and move on. You can help young people like Althea by joining Cybersmile's growing movement for action against online bullying, and help them 'create a much safer, more enjoyable environment for our children's future.' Get involved on Friday 20 June by sharing Cybersmile's info pack, making a donation and joining the conversation on Twitter – #stopcyberbullyingday.
