November social media content calendar

1st - Sunday, National Authors Day #NationalAuthorsDay

The beauty of authors day is that it's super flexible, whether you're a literary company or just have some book worms in your company, there are lots of ways to get involved.

Some great options include sharing your colleagues' favorite books, recommending books related to your sector or industry, or simply sharing quotes that resonate with you. We love this one from the incredible, Maya Angelou.

1st - Sunday, National Cook For Your Pets Day #CookForYourPetsDay

There's no limit to the love pet photos get on social media so why not take it one step further and make your furry friend's day by cooking for them. While this is on the sillier side, it's still got the potential to drive some serious engagement. Ask your colleagues to cook for their pets and record their reactions, share video dog treat recipes or even get involved with memes.

1st - Sunday, World Vegan Day #WorldVeganDay

Show veggies some love on World Vegan Day by creating recipe videos, informative videos or showing off your vegan products.

3rd - Tuesday, National Sandwich Day #NationalSandwichDay

You'll notice a theme appearing in these dates... a culinary theme. But we're not complaining! Any excuse to experiment with new food and make snacks 👀 Joining in on the action could be as simple as sharing a quick video or photo of your lunch.

4th - Wednesday, National Candy Day #NationalCandyDay

Perfectly timed is National Candy Day for dessert. To get conversations started on your social channels, spark debate over which candy is best or ask your followers to vote for their favorite treat.

8th - Sunday, National Cappuccino Day #CappuccinoDay

Most of us would be lost without our caffeine kick so seize this day as an opportunity to treat your colleagues to a coffee voucher to support their local businesses. You'll be ahead of the game for World Kindness Day too 😎

8th - Sunday, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Medicine (STEM) Day #STEMDay

STEM Day is about raising awareness of careers and education in science, technology, engineering and maths. As well as promoting diversity in these fields. Your business could get involved by promoting local jobs in these areas or sharing quotes and facts about the importance of these disciplines.

11th - Wednesday, Veterans Day #VeteransDay

As always this is a time to thanks those in the military for their sacrifices.

13th - Friday, World Kindness Day #WKD

If you need a little reminder to do something nice for someone, today is the day. As with all of these events, you can interpret them in lots of different ways. In this case we've created a short video with 3 easy ways to be kind.

14th - Saturday, World Diabetes Day #WDD

Alongside sillier holidays and seasonal events are those dedicated to raising awareness about important causes. In this case, diabetes. Diabetes is a condition that affects thousands of people and can cause serious complications. Creating a video that educates more people about diabetes could be a great way to show your support.

15th - Sunday, Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day #CleanOutYourRefrigeratorDay

Okay, it's time for the empty pickle jar and chunk of mouldy cheese to go. You could work with this date in a few ways, turn it into comedy gold or use it as an opportunity to educate people on how to reduce food waste.

15th - Sunday, America Recycles Day #BeRecycled

On a similar theme, it's also Recycling Day. Another chance to offer practical help and advice on how to live a more sustainable life. Videos work really well for this type of content because you can visualize the recycling process and which types of material are suitable for recycling.

17th - Tuesday, International Students Day #InternationalStudentsDay

Students have had an especially tough time this year with uncertainty around how and where they'll be studying. Which is why if your business can offer help, guidance or discounts to students, this day is all the excuse you need to do so. Plus, sharing them on your Stories like our example can help you reach a larger audience more quickly.

19th - Thursday, National Entrepreneurs Day #EntrepreneursDay

Now this is a great topic for LinkedIn and there's lots of ways you could interpret it. Think founder stories, tips on getting a new business off the ground or insights and quotes from famous entrepreneurs.

20th - Friday, Universal Children’s Day #UNChildrensDay

UN Children's Day is a day dedicated to raising awareness and support for children's safety, education and nourishment. By joining the conversation you'll be helping others to understand how big this problem is and where they can go to help.

21st - Saturday, World Hello Day #WorldHelloDay

When we're wrapped up in our own busy worlds, it can be easy to forget the simple things like catching up with your community - both online and offline. But in this case, we love the idea of using this date as a chance to get to know your social media audience better - how are they, where are they from and what do they want to see from your brand in future.

26th - Thursday, National Cake Day #NationalCakeDay

Back on the food theme, National Cake Day is a prime opportunity to show off your at-home baking skills, treat your colleagues or share recipes with your followers.

26th - Thursday, Thanksgiving #Thanksgiving

The holiday that needs no explaining! You probably have additional campaigns and activities launching for Thanksgiving but it's a quick reminder that a) it's coming around fast and b) VideoScribe can help you make eye-catching holiday videos like this one 👇

28th - Saturday, Small Business Saturday #ShopSmall

Since the global pandemic, supporting smaller businesses has become more important than ever. Whether it's your own business or others in your community, this event provides the opportunity to shine a light on all the great alternatives to big brand shopping.

29th - Sunday, ecard Day #ElectronicGreetingCardDay

Similarly, since we've all been distancing more from our friends, family and customers this year, the ecard is really having a revival! It's a simple and very cost effective way to show you care. Why not create something like our 'Happy Sunday' video.

30th - Monday, Computer Security Day #ComputerSecurityDay

Last but by no means least, Computer Security Day rounds off the month. With more and more cyber crime taking place each year, your audiences will thank you for any help and advice you can offer on keeping safe online.
