On January 25th we'll be celebrating the life and poetry of the Scottish poet, Robert Burns. Burns was not only a popular poet locally but his work is recognized internationally with his best known song being Auld Lang Syne. Most of us can probably quote his poem 'A Red, Red Rose' too!
It's for this reason Burns is regarded as the national poet of Scotland and Burns Night is also a celebration of his contribution to Scottish culture. The night itself is a time to feast on a delicious Scottish supper, spend time with friends and family, dance and sing!
